The Nordic Agency for Sustainable Impact is a world leader in supporting water entrepreneurship initiatives, enabling and accelerating the work of Small and Medium Enterprise’s to advance water solutions to tackle water shortage and pollution.
In order to advance the agenda of water entrepreneurship globally, the Agency teamed up with Swiss partners to set-up a global platform for water entrepreneurship enablers: financiers, incubators, accelerators and other types of enablers to create global synergies and collaborative platforms.
Taking place at Norrsken in Stockholm in 2018, our first global entrepreneurship support meeting was followed up in 2019 with a whole day session at the Stockholm World Water Week launching a “global water & sanitation entrepreneurship pact,” which the agency helped develop in consortium with WaterPreneurs. During this launch, we presented a feasibility study for organising a “one stop shop” – or a “front desk” service for water entrepreneurs seeking to join different incubation and acceleration opportunities, and eventually acquire the “right” type of financial facilities.
The pact involved the participation of: USAID, Swiss Development Cooperation, Sida, Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation, Cewas, the Inter-American Development Bank, Antenna Foundation, Norrsken foundation, Swedish Social Entrepreneurship Forum, Toilet Board Coalition, Waterpreneurs among others.
